==전략==
*주 사격은 한쪽 배럴만(펠릿 10개), 보조 사격은 양쪽 다 쏜다(펠릿 20개). 밸런스 패치 이전에는 주 사격의 펠릿 수가 6개였기 때문에 보조 사격이 '주 사격'이었었다.
*[[Scrake]]나 [[Fleshfound]]처럼 강한 적에게 접근해서 보조 사격을 쓰고 뒤로 빠지는 식으로 쓰는 것이 좋다. 제대로 맞춘다면 2,3발이면 죽는다. 더 빨리 죽이려면 수류탄 등을 같이 써 보자.
*Move in a strategic way to bunch up a group of specimens and once you have clumped enough specimens together, attack the group with the alt-fire. Its wide spread can be a great advantage for killing a large group at point-blank range.
*주무장으로 사용하는 것은 피하자. 재장전이 매우 느리고 강한 적에게 효과적이기 때문이다. 게다가 탄약이 £15에 2발이라 지속적으로 쓰기엔 꽤 비싸다.
*밸런스 패치 이후로 탄약 값이 싸지고 무기를 샀을 때 주는 탄 수가 줄었기 때문에 헌팅 샷건을 잠깐 사서 쓰다가 파는 것은 비효율적이 되었다.
*The [[lever-action rifle]] (or others, though the rifle is arguably one of the better choices) can complement the hunting shotgun: the rifle allows the Support Specialist to remain productive at mid-ranges (precision is necessary, however) and eliminate weak single specimens quickly, while the hunting shotgun will effectively repel closer, more dangerous threats. Use your normal shotgun to pierce multiple trash specimen to manage ammo. As an added plus, the rifle and its ammo are some of the cheapest in the game. It is a good idea to obtain the shotgun first, then the rifle, as the basic pistol can suffice in the first few waves.
