New page

This is the more boring side of getting to know the SDK but is an essential one.

Here we show you the '''interface''' and tell you what all those buttons are used for and why you will need them in the creation of your world.

== First Screen ==

This is the first screen you will be presented with when you open up the SDK (Default Configuration); It is made up of a Top/Side and Bottom Toolbars, 4 Viewports and the Asset Manager (Browser).

[[File:FirstScreen.jpg]]

== Top Toolbar ==
[[File:UED Top ToolBar.jpg]]

From left to right:

'''New'''

Click this button to start a fresh new map.

'''Open'''

Brings up the open map file browser - use this to open up previously saved maps.

'''Save'''

Saves your work so you don't have to start all over.

'''Undo'''

This will allow you to go back a step but does not work with everything. Definitely doesn't work after you have used any of the build buttons.

'''Redo'''

Anything you have used the undo button on will be reversed by using the Redo button - This is also a bit of a temperamental button and only works with some things. Also doesn't work after using a build button.

'''Build Geometry'''

'''Build All'''

This will build all Geometry/Lighting/Pathing within your level. Once its finished you'll be able to test out your map.

'''''Warning:''''' Make sure to save your work before using any form of '''Build''' as this is the most likely time for the editor to '''''crash'''''.
